Meghann Fahy’s First Date Gets Ruined In Drop Trailer

Another first date gone wrong happens in the new film Drop. 

From the director of Happy Death Day, a new killer spawns to haunt a woman on her first date in a long time. Soundtracked by “Nonsense” by Sabrina Carpenter, the trailer depicts Violet (Meghann Fahy), a widow, as she prepares for her date with Henry (Brandon Sklenar). Leaving her son behind with her best friend, Violet enters the romantic restaurant and the two seem to be hitting it off. 

However, she receives airdropped memes that threaten to ruin her date. Though her date tries to find out who might be sending them, she gets a text to check her home security that reveals a masked killer waiting to kill her family. Her only way out and ensuring her family can remain untouched is if she kills Henry. From potentially drugging him to fighting off the killer herself, what lengths will she go to protect her family? Violett Beane, Jacob Robinson, and Ed Weeks round out the cast. 

Drop premieres April 11 in theaters.
