Comparison is the thief of joy — that’s the focus of Netflix's Beauty in Black.

Tyler Perry is bringing his first TV series to Netflix starring Taylor Polidore as Kimmie and Crystle Stewart as Mallory. The teaser reveals a sharp contrast between the two leading ladies. Mallory lives a glamorous life, running a successful business, while Kimmie’s home life is unstable. She was recently kicked out by her mother, leaving her in an unpredictable situation.

This new series marks the first of many since Tyler Perry’s move to the streaming giant. The 16-episode series is directed and produced by Perry.

Beauty in Black will release in two parts, with the first eight episodes dropping on Oct. 24.
