BlumFest Returns To New York Comic Con To Announce 2025 Blumhouse Film Slate
Horror mastermind Jason Blum returned to New York Comic Con to reveal the exciting slate of films dropping for Blumhouse’s 15th anniversary in 2025. “It’s going to be big,” he teased at BlumFest.
The panel began with the debut of the Wolf Man trailer, directed by The Invisible Man’s Leigh Whannell. Led by Christopher Abbott, the film offers a modern reimagining of the classic Universal monster that explores a horrifying take on identity and transformation. Next up, Meghann Fahy came out to share a look at her new film Drop. Directed by Happy Death Day and Freaky’s Christopher Landon, it taps into the modern horrors of dating as a young woman is given a sinister ultimatum via AirDrop: kill her date, or else.
Jaume Collet-Serra hit the stage to share a look at his upcoming thriller The Woman in the Yard that finds a lines blurring between paranoia and reality in the suburbs. Then Mike Flanagan joined Blum to discuss films that are still early in the production process, including his The Exorcist sequel, The Black Phone 2, and the sequel to Five Nights at Freddy’s. Fans also got a peek at a darker and more dangerous version of everyone’s favorite fashionable killer with M3GAN 2.0 as Allison Williams took the stage.
