Taylor Swift Debuts "This Love (Taylor’s Version)" In The Summer I Turned Pretty Teaser Trailer
The story starts when it was hot and it was summer.
Amazon Prime dropped a teaser trailer for The Summer I Turned Pretty, the new series from Jenny Han based on her book of the same name. The multigenerational coming-of-age drama explores first love, first heartbreak, and strong female friendships. We follow Belly (Lola Tung) in a love triangle with brothers Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno), but it won’t be a “Cruel Summer.” The teaser is perfectly soundtracked by Taylor Swift’s new re-recording of “This Love (Taylor’s Version).”
This snippet comes a few months after she dropped “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version),” hinting that a re-recording of her album 1989 is coming next. Swift has been re-recording her first six albums following the acquisition of her original masters by Scooter Braun as a way to take back her power.
The Summer I Turned Pretty also stars Jackie Chung, Rachel Blanchard, Sean Kaufman, Alfredo Narciso, Minnie Mills, Colin Ferguson, and Tom Everett Scott. The series hits Prime Video on June 17.
