Netflix’s Locke and Key Will End With Season 3
It’s time to say goodbye to Keyhouse.
Netflix has given us our first look at the third season of Locke & Key, below, which has been announced as its final season. Based on the comic books by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodríguez, Locke & Key is about three siblings who move into a house filled with reality-bending keys following their father’s murder.
“Once we began working on the series, we felt three seasons was the ideal length to bring the story of the Locke family and their Keyhouse adventures to a satisfying conclusion,” said co-showrunners and executive producers Carlton Cuse and Meredith Averill in a statement. “As storytellers, we are grateful that we had the opportunity to tell our version of Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez's incredible story exactly the way we wanted. We're keeping the magical keys, though, for our own personal use.”
Seasons two and three were filmed back-to-back, so it’s safe to say the series will pick up right where we left off with new big bad Captain Frederick Gideon, played by Kevin Durand. Learn more about Captain Gideon and where the keys come from, below:
The third and final season of Locke & Key hits Netflix later this year.
