What Is Isla Fisher Hiding In The Trailer For Peacock’s Wolf Like Me?

tv

Everyone’s got baggage, right?

Gary (Josh Gad) is struggling to connect with his daughter after his wife’s death, while Mary (Isla Fisher) is hiding a big secret. They connect after a terrifying car crash in Peacock’s Wolf Like Me, forming a pendulum-style romance. Every time they get close, Mary pulls away, literally sprinting in the opposite direction.

Between the mysterious death of Mary’s husband, pep talks about “wolves in us,” and the show’s title, it seems like maybe this rom-com will tap into other genres, like horror. Especially when the trailer for Wolf Like Me ends with Mary locking herself in a reinforced room with a shocked Gary peering in from the tiny window as she says, “This is who I am.” Maybe Mary’s big secret is… she’s a werewolf?

All six episodes of Wolf Like Me are written and directed by creator Abe Forsythe, known for the genre-bending Little Monsters. After that project, a werewolf rom-com sounds right up his alley!

The full season of Wolf Like Me hits Peacock on January 13.
