The trailer has dropped for Netflix’s new show Archive 81 based on the podcast of the same name.

Led by Mamoudou Athie and Dina Shihabi, Archive 81 follows an archivist who takes on a job restoring damaged videotapes from 1994. He gets drawn into the world of a missing documentary filmmaker who was investigating a demonic cult. We follow these two timelines as the archivist becomes obsessed with what happened to the filmmaker and is convinced he can save her from the terrifying fate she met 25 years earlier.

Mixing the nostalgia of analog video with found footage horror, Archive 81 promises a chilling story that plays across two interconnected timelines.

Archive 81 hits Netflix on January 14.
