The Queen’s Ball: A Bridgerton Experience Brings The Royal Treatment To New York City

Get ready to shine bright like a Diamond!

The Queen’s Ball: A Bridgerton Experience has just hit New York and it’s bound to be the talk of the ton as it transports fans of the hit series into the Regency era. Kristen Maldonado of Pop Culture Planet attended the VIP press preview event and spoke to the team that put it all together.

Co-produced by Netflix, Shondaland, and Fever, The Queen's Ball: A Bridgerton Experience has locations in Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Toronto, and more. New York was the perfect new addition. “New York is the epicenter of culture and live performances and lends itself as a perfect destination for this experience,” said Isis Arias, Live Experiences at Netflix. “While the storyline and core production elements are the same from city to city, the experience does slightly differ depending on the venue and includes fun surprises from the most recent Bridgerton seasons.”

During the 90 minute experience, guests are greeted by the voice of Lady Whistledown and given a chance to prove they’re worthy to the Queen. There were costumes from Bridgerton and Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story to view, you could pose for a regal portrait, shop at the modiste, and even participate in a new love story. The immersive song-and-dance show lets you play a part and features live classical covers of popular songs — just like in the Netflix series.

Along with Stranger Thing: The Experience, it was a no brainer to pick another popular Netflix property to bring to life for passionate fans. “Shondaland effortlessly transported Bridgerton viewers into a reimagined Regency-era London, capturing hearts around the globe as fans connected with every aspect of the series – from its delightful characters and the superb actors who brought them to life, to the costume design and art and set direction to the soundtrack,” she told me. “We’ve partnered with Fever on The Queen's Ball: A Bridgerton Experience to create a similarly unique experience designed to fuel the tremendous Bridgerton fandom we see for the series and immerse attendees in the world of Bridgerton while connecting them to the characters they love.”

You’ll dance the night away… and if you’re lucky, you may catch the eye of Her Majesty. “The Queen's Ball: A Bridgerton Experience was designed to immerse attendees in what they love most about the series,” shared Arias. “It is an opportunity for people across generations and from all over the world to come together, dress up in their best Regency-era inspired attire, and celebrate an unforgettable evening — plus anyone attending has the opportunity to be named the Diamond of the ball!”

Eagle-eyed fans looking for teases to the upcoming prequel series should keep their eyes peeled at the event. “The Queen’s Ball: A Bridgerton Experience has plenty of surprises and Easter eggs for avid fans and new visitors to discover,” she said. “The New York experience opens just days before the premiere of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story (debuting May 4 on Netflix)!”

What’s next after bringing fans into the worlds of Stranger Things and Bridgerton? Arias promises there’s more to come. “We’re always looking at opportunities to bring some of our fan-favorite IPs to life,” she confirmed. “Stay tuned for new projects in the works!"

The Queen’s Ball: A Bridgerton Experience is currently running at Mediapro Manhattan Studio in New York. Dust off your ball gown and pick up your tickets starting at $49.
