Two Ghostly BFFs Cheat Death To Solve Mysteries In Dead Boy Detectives Trailer, Plus That Epic Sandman Universe Cameo!

Based on Neil Gaiman’s Sandman comic book characters comes Dead Boy Detectives! It follows ghostly duo Edwin Payne (George Rexstrew) and Charles Rowland (Jayden Revri) as two best friends who are the brains and brawn as they solve supernatural mysteries together.

The trailer shows the teenagers explaining their work to clairvoyant Crystal (Kassius Nelson) who comically states they have a stupid name. As “The Black Parade” by My Chemical Romance plays, the besties get hired to help solve ghosts’ unsolved mysteries.

Eventually, they let Crystal along with new friend Niko (Yuyu Kitamura) into the agency as they escape Hell, witches, and, of course, death. Yup, that is a cameo from The Sandman’s Death, played by Kirby Howell-Baptiste! They encounter all things paranormal with levitations, mysterious portals, blood, clowns, zombies, and more in order to never return back to Hell.

Briana Cuoco, Jenn Lyon, Ruth Connell, Lukas Gage, and David Iacono round out the cast.

Dead Boy Detectives premieres April 25 on Netflix.
