The Quest To Restore Order To Mount Olympus Begins In Percy Jackson and the Olympians Trailer

Disney+ has released the official trailer for the new Percy Jackson and the Olympians series starring Walker Scobell as Percy Jackson, Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood, and Leah Jeffries as Annabeth Chase.

Based on the book series by Rick Riordan, the new adaptation follows Percy, a 12-year-old boy who finds out he’s a modern demi-god. After being accused of stealing the greek god Zeus’s lightening bolt, Percy, along with his friends Grover and Annabeth, must track it down in order to restore Olympus.

Throughout the trailer, fans will notice familiar characters like Mrs. Dodds and villains like the Minotaur and Medusa Yup, some scenes coming straight from the novels! We see Percy struggle with bullies and dyslexia, but, when he finds out that the stories his mom told him of Camp Half-Blood and the Greek gods are true, he has a newfound responsibility to uphold and power to learn. Percy Jackson and the Olympians season one will adapt the first book in Riordan’s iconic series titled The Lightning Thief.

The first two episodes of the eight episode season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians premiere on December 20 on Disney+.
