Station 19 Sets Us Up For An Emotional Goodbye In The Trailer For The Series Finale
We are saying goodbye to the Grey’s Anatomy spin-off Station 19 after seven seasons.
As fans grapple with the idea of this beloved show ending, the trailer promises a deeply emotional goodbye. The team is back in action — and Andy Herrera (Jaina Lee Ortiz) has finally been anointed Captain! The trailer opens by reminding us of the past seasons of love and harmony, but also tragedy and failure, only to be rudely interrupted by new team member Kate (Kiele Sanchez) suggesting it might be a “quiet” day. Yup, a clear signal to the crew that they're in for anything but.
We are definitely in for a season of flames as the team will have to face some of their most difficult challenges yet. New Captain Herrera is feeling the pressure, as Maya (Danielle Savre) bluntly states, “as a woman in charge, you have the weight of every woman in the department on your shoulders.” If that isn’t enough, she's facing budget cuts and the agonizing decisions of who stays and who goes. We have to remember, these are not simply just her co-workers, they're her family. Letting any of them go is going to be anything but easy.
Gibson’s (Grey Damon) fate remains a mystery. Although he appears in the trailer, we're only taken back to the moment he collapsed, leaving viewers anxious about his future. Complications escalate as fan-favorite couple Maya and Carina (Stefania Spampinato) are forced to lock down the clinic after patient zero poses a significant medical threat. In other news, Vic (Barrett Doss) and Theo (Carlos Miranda) have officially ended things, leaving Chaos Kate to throw herself at Theo. Meanwhile, Fire Chief Ross (Merle Dandridge) and Sullivan’s (Boris Kodjoe) relationship is getting even more serious as he declares her the love of his life. We all remember Andy, right? Awkward… And if that all doesn’t sound like enough drama, chaos erupts after Andy defends her friends at an LGBTQ+ rally.
I know the question we are all asking is, where is Vic? Her future remains a big mystery, as well as Warren's (Jason George) and Montgomery’s (Jay Hayden) futures. These aren’t just side characters, so the real question is, what are they hiding from us?
After six seasons of fire, pain, drama, wins, and losses, we have finally reached the end. There are so many unanswered questions about where the team at Station 19 will end up. Find out what the end will be for our favorite Seattle firefighters when Station 19 season 7 premieres on March 14.
