Netflix’s Hilda Returns For Final Season As An Extended Movie

Netflix’s Hilda, adapted from the graphic novels by Luke Pearson, is a stunning animated series that follows the thrilling adventure of Hilda and her friends. At the end of season 2, Hilda has been turned into a troll. Instead of a third season, the series will be getting an 80-minute movie special called Hilda and the Mountain King to wrap up the story.

The film will follow Hilda’s quest to turn back into a human and reunite with her mum and friends as she dives deeper into the culture and world of the trolls. “We’re really excited to bring audiences a new feature length format with the release of Hilda and the Mountain King,” said Ron Allen, EVP Commercial at Silvergate Media. “The epic scope of the storyline gives us the opportunity to explore the full potential of Hilda’s fascinating mythical world and we think fans are going to love getting lost in the hidden depths of Trolberg this holiday season.”

According to author Pearson, Hilda and the Mountain King will hit Netflix on December 30, just in time for the holiday season.
