Adrienne Bailon-Houghton Reunites With Raven-Symoné In Raven's Home Season 5

Raven Baxter can see the future, but it’s the past that’s coming back to haunt her in Raven’s Home season 5.

The new season of Disney Channel’s Raven’s Home will find Raven (Raven-Symoné) and her son Booker (Issac Ryan Brown) relocating from Chicago back to her hometown of San Francisco. We’ll see them caring for her Raven’s father Victor, with Rondell Sheridan returning as a series regular, after he suffers a mild heart attack and helping raise Raven’s young cousin. Meanwhile, Booker is the new kid at Raven’s old high school and has to keep his visions a secret. Anneliese van der Pol, Navia Robinson, Jason Maybaum, and Sky Katz will not return for the new season and a new cast of characters will make their way onto the show.

Now we’ve learned that Adrienne Bailon-Houghton will have a recurring role on Raven’s Home’s new season, reprising her role as Raven’s high school bully Alana from That’s So Raven. “I’ve always been hopeful about [playing Alana again], so to be able to make it happen was a dream come true,” Houghton told TVLine. “I always love working with [Raven-Symoné]. We did the first Cheetah Girls movie when I was 19, and now I’m 38, so we’ve stayed friends for almost 20 years. We laugh at the fact that we were playing the high school students… and now we’re playing the parents. It’s so bizarre!”

Alana is the principal at Bayside High… and it doesn’t seem like she’ll be taking it easy on the Baxters, saying she’s “having too much fun torturing Raven Baxter as a grown woman” to stop. “How genius of the writers of this show to create that dynamic where the school bully becomes the principal,” Houghton said. “It’s funny and ironic, and I’m loving being the authority figure.”

With Raven and Adrienne reuniting for Raven’s Home, it begs the question… how about a Cheetah Girls reboot? “That would be so fun, and I always say ‘never say never,'” said Houghton. “I’m so excited about this new generation experiencing The Cheetah Girls on TikTok and Disney+. […] I do love that there’s a resurgence, but my only concern would be ruining it. I don’t want to kill the memory of something so great. But I’d always be down. Maybe Bubbles and Chuchie are grown with kids of their own and they start the next generation of Cheetah Girls.”

Catch up with That’s So Raven and Raven’s Home on Disney+ before the show returns for season 5.
