Suspense Takes Flight in Netflix’s Carry-On Teaser
Netflix’s Carry-On brings a high-stakes holiday thriller to the screen, delivering suspense and action in the busiest of settings — an airport on Christmas Eve.
Directed by Jaume Collet-Sera, the film stars Taron Egerton as Ethan Kopek, a TSA agent thrown into a deadly game when a manipulative traveler, played by Jason Bateman, blackmails him into letting a dangerous package pass through security.
Set to the ironic backdrop of “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” the trailer reveals Ethan’s increasingly desperate attempts to prevent catastrophe, all while under Bateman’s chilling command: “You have ten minutes before everybody in this airport dies.” Egerton’s character faces impossible choices as he races against time, guided only by a voice in his ear and the knowledge that one wrong move could cost lives.
The trailer hints at intense action sequences both inside and outside the airport, ramping up the tension with each passing second. Egerton’s portrayal of a man caught in a moral and physical struggle is amplified by Bateman’s sinister calms as he pulls the strings. The film also features a strong supporting cast, including Sofia Carson, Danielle Deadwyler, Logan Marshall-Green, and Dean Norris.
Carry-On promises to be a thrilling break from the typical festive fare with its edge-of-your-seat suspense. Don’t miss the action when it premieres December 13 on Netflix.
