Inspired by true events, The Burial follows a handshake deal gone wrong. When a funeral home owner (Tommy Lee Jones) enlists a smooth talking attorney (Jamie Foxx) to save his business, they form an unlikely bond as they explore corporate corruption and racial injustice. 

The film is based on The New Yorker article by Jonathan Harr, with Jurnee Smollett, Mamoudou Athie, Pamela Reed, Alan Ruck, and Bill Camp rounding out the cast.
