Spy Kids: Armageddon Trailer Reveals It Has A Lot In Common With The Original Spy Kids Franchise
Director Robert Rodriguez is back with a new installment in the Spy Kids franchise for a new generation and Spy Kids: Armageddon shares a lot of similarities with its predecessor.
The trailer, above, follows Patty (Everly Carganilla) and Tony (Connor Esterson) who learn their parents (Gina Rodriguez and Zachary Levi) are secret agents. They end up in a safe house where they train with cool gadgets and spy suits in order to help their parents take down an evil video game developer (Billy Magnussen) who wants to take over the world with a dangerous computer virus. Sound familiar? Alexa PenaVega and Daryl Sabara starred in the first film of the franchise back in 2001 where they do much of the same, even going inside a video game in Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over.
Spy Kids: Armageddon hits Netflix on September 22.
