JoJo Books A Recurring Role On The CW’s All American
Team JoJo fans, rejoice!
Singer, songwriter, and actress JoJo is headed back to the screen with a recurring role on The CW’s All American. She’ll play Sabine, a famous recording artist who’s been making music since she was a kid — eerily similar to JoJo’s own story. Sabine is looking for a new sound for her next album and decides to work with rising music producer Layla (Greta Onieogou).
“Let’s gooooo! I adore this cast,” tweeted JoJo about the new opportunity.
This year is shaping up to be an incredible one for the songbird. She recently launched her capsule project Trying Not To Think About It that explores mental health through music and celebrated her engagement to actor Dexter Darden (Saved By The Bell, The Maze Runner). JoJo has been in the music industry since she was 13, with smash hits like “Leave (Get Out)” and “Too Little Too Late.” She’s also no stranger to the screen, having starred in Aquamarine, RV, and G.B.F.
JoJo makes her first appearance as Sabine when All American returns for season 4 on February 21.
