From I Want You Back To Marry Me, Here’s Four New Rom-Coms That Will Give You All The Feels

Love is in the air… and streaming on your favorite movie-watching platforms. From scheming partners in crime to a humiliated pop star to a supernatural romance, here’s four new rom-coms that will give you all the feels this Valentine’s Day.

I Want You Back

How far would you go to get back the love of your life? I Want You Back finds Charlie Day and Jenny Slate as two recently dumped thirtysomethings who scheme together to try to win back their significant others. With classic rom-com shenanigans, a little karaoke, and a slow burn love story, I Want You Back is so charming that it will have you rooting for everyone. The film does a great job of not villainizing its characters despite their flaws and highlighting the sweet and quirky chemistry between Day and Slate. I Want You Back also stars Gina Rodriguez, Scott Eastwood, Manny Jacinto, and Mason Gooding.

I Want You Back is streaming on Amazon Prime.

Marry Me

Based on the graphic novel by Bobby Crosby, Marry Me centers around pop superstar Kat Valdez (Jennifer Lopez) who is set to make huge press waves by marrying her famous fiancé Bastian (Maluma) during a live streamed concert. When she learns he cheated on her moments before they say “I do,” she chooses a random guy (Owen Wilson) to marry from the audience instead. While it can be hard to suspend belief to see Owen Wilson as a fish out of water in the world of celebrity, the film is a ton of fun. Jennifer Lopez is at her best in Marry Me, showcasing why she’s a rom-com queen. She looks incredible with an award-worthy hair and makeup team, while the original music allows her to show off her natural stage presence and performance ability.

Marry Me is out in theaters and streaming on Peacock.

Tall Girl 2

Tall Girl returns with a sequel on Netflix, moving away from the outward struggles of being tall into the relatable issues we all deal with when it comes to inner doubt and imposter syndrome. From new director Emily Ting, Tall Girl 2 is better than the first film, with a more ensemble storyline. Fareeda is no longer just Jodi’s supportive best friend, Kimmy is not just a mean girl. Everyone’s stories are expanded upon and given more depth, which in turn makes you want to follow these characters even more. I spoke with the cast of Tall Girl 2 about the new film’s epic musical moments and their thoughts on possible sequels, above. The film stars Ava Michelle, Sabrina Carpenter, Anjelika Washington, Luke Eisner, Griffin Gluck, Jan Luis Castellanos, Angela Kinsey, and Steve Zahn.

Tall Girl 2 is streaming on Netflix.

The In Between

Set in a split timeline, The In Between explores the past and present of a tragic romance. In flashbacks, we see how Tessa (Joey King) and Skylar (Kyle Allen) met and fell in love, while in the present Tessa is grieving Skylar’s death while he tries to reach her from beyond. The film begs the questions: where do we go when we die and can love survive death? This is another heartwarming and unique rom-com to add to King and Allen’s repertoires, following King’s The Kissing Booth trilogy and Allen’s timelooping The Map of Tiny Perfect Things. I spoke with Kyle Allen and Celeste O’Connor about working on the supernatural romance, above.

The In Between is streaming on Paramount+.
