Netflix Announces Bridgerton Season 3 Premiere Date
Bridgerton will be back on your screen in 2024! Netflix announced that they will be releasing the third season of the hit regency romance series in two parts: Part 1 premiering May 16th and Part 2 on June 13th, 2024. This strategy seems to be a trend in Netflix releases to encourage subscribes to extend their memberships and widen the promotional window for their series.
Fans have long anticipated the third season of the series, set to follow the budding romance between Penelope (Nicola Coughlin) and Colin (Luke Newton). The sneak peek at Tudum in June gave us a look at the new season with some set photos of the soon to be couple, stirring up lots of fan theories and excitement. The series seemed to take off overnight when it first premiered, creating a social media frenzy. The first look photos from Tudum was no different and fueled engagement that Netflix used in their season 3 date announcement.
Bridgerton initially debuted on December 25, 2020 with the second season following on March 25, 2022. There has been much discourse around the gap between seasons, but fans of the franchise were delighted by the spinoff series Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. The prequel series premiered in May of 2023 and added a lot of context to the characters in the main series, but fans have been begging for the new season. With over two years between seasons, fans are sure to be re-watching the earlier installments this spring leading up to May 16.
Bridgerton is streaming on Netflix.
