Longlegs Teaser Leaves Us Another Cryptic Message To Decode

"Do you still say your prayers?" Those are the words that open up Neon's new teaser for Longlegs. Neon has been releasing clues for the film over the past few months that are very cryptic, but definitely leaving the audience wanting more.

In Longlegs, FBI Agent Lee Harker has dreamed of catching a killer since she was a little girl and now she has been assigned to an unsolved serial killer case. But the case takes an unexpected turn and Harker discovers that she has skin in this game too. She has a connection to the killer and is on a mission to stop him before he takes any more lives.

The new poster for the film is marked Sweet: Part One, which outlines the steps of an application process. It seems to me that this puzzle is becoming increasingly complicated to piece together. Meanwhile, the teaser video, titled Sweet: Part Two, delivers the rolling message: "So close the crimson and clover, all gone now to the edge, where the black begins and the long forked tongue hisses." It’s accompanied by clips of the movie — blood, murder, and characters in action — as the voice that covers the teaser gasps for air, floors creak, and a blade drags against the floor.

The highly anticipated horror film marks a significant return for director Osgood Perkins. The film stars Maika Monroe as FBI Agent Harker and Nicolas Cage as the serial killer. They will be working alongside Blair Underwood, Kiernan Shipka, Alicia Witt, and Lisa Chandler.

Can we solve the mystery before it’s too late? Longlegs will be in theaters on July 12.
