Kraven the Hunter Trailer Reveals the Birth of Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Inner Animal
This is a fight no one will live to tell.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson plays Sergei Kravinoff in Sony and Marvel's newest feature film Kraven the Hunter, based on the origins of the Spider-Man villain. Sergei Kravinoff's father Nikolai Kravinoff (Russell Crowe) was a ruthless man who wanted his sons to understand that power is something you take, not something given to you. After his son is bitten by a lion, he leaves him for dead, passing him off as weak, but the bite turns Sergei into a beast of his own.
We hadn’t received any updates about this film since the first teaser over a year ago, but now we have a new trailer diving deeper into the story. We get a sneak peek at Alessandro Nivola’s Aleksei Sytsevich as Rhino in a desert battle. In the trailer, the Johnny Cash song “The Man Comes Around” plays as Sergei becomes Kraven, murdering without remorse — knifing people in the throat and slashing them in the face. Though he’s become as dangerous as his father, he sees himself as a savior. In the original teaser trailer, he says, “My father puts evil into the world; I take it out.” It’s that belief that drives him to rip through his enemies becoming the most feared hunter. Joining Taylor-Johnson and Nivola are Ariana DeBose, Fred Hechinger, and Christopher Abbott.
Is this film going to give Marvel lovers what they are looking for? Find out on December 13.
