New York City Goes Silent In The New Trailer For A Quiet Place: Day One
It's time to go hush in the city that never sleeps.
Universal Pictures has released the second trailer for A Quiet Place: Day One, the latest installment in the Quiet Place franchise. Although the story is inspired by the original concept by John Krasinski, we won't be following the Abbott family on this one. Instead, we join Lupita Nyong’o’s character Sam and Joseph Quinn's Eric, as they navigate the treacherous streets of New York City on the day it was forced into silence.
We caught a glimpse of the silent terror during February's Super Bowl, but today's trailer plunges us directly into the chaos. It’s a typical day in New York City for Sam, who visits her local deli without a care in the world. Suddenly, her world comes crashing down. The city she once knew is now being overtaken by blind monsters attracted by sound. In order to survive, Sam and Eric — along with Frodo the cat — team up to escape. The city is no longer safe as “it's the end of days, no more people, no more New York.”
This prequel is directed by Michael Sarnoski, with Krasinski co-writing and producing the film. Joining Nyong'o and Quinn will be Alex Wolff and Djimon Hounsou, returning to his role as Man on Island.
The real question on everyone's mind is… will Frodo will make it to the end? Find out when A Quiet Place: Day One hits theaters on June 28, 2024.
