Millie Bobby Brown Takes On A Fire-Breathing Dragon
POV: You just agreed to marry a prince, but his family throws you into a cave with a fire-breathing dragon because you’re the new sacrifice to repay an ancient debt. Crazy, right?
Well… that’s the plot for Netflix’s new fantasy film Damsel starring Millie Bobby Brown. During Geeked Week 2023, Netflix dropped the teaser for the film and it is intense! It shows distressed Princess Elodie trying to survive as she escapes the deadly creature. When she finally scales the inner spiked cave, it’s revealed there is no exit and she’s nowhere near the ground. Queen Isabelle (Robin Wright) tells her she joins a “long line of women who have helped to build this kingdom.” Elodie must use her knowledge and wits to survive in order to gain not only freedom, but the hand of the handsome Prince Henry.
Angela Bassett, Nick Robinson, Brooke Carter, and Shohreh Aghdashloo round out the cast.
Damsel premieres in 2024 on Netflix.

Kora must band together a group of warriors to help defeat the tyrant.
The teaser is filled with action-packed scenes — we’re talking explosions, space battles, and lasers — as it promises to uncover themes of rebellion, trauma, healing, and friendship.
Rebel Moon Part One: A Child Of Fire premieres December 22.

Virtual Reality To The Next Level
We got an exclusive clip from 3 Body Problem, the series based on Chinese author Liu Cixin’s book The Three-Body Problem.
It shows Jack Rooney (John Bradley) and Jin Cheng (Jess Hong) examining a strange, metallic headset similar to other virtual reality sets — but without charging ports, headphone jack, or screen. Rooney puts the helmet on and is transported to a desert wasteland. Amazed by the scenery, as it feels too real to be true, Rooney feels the sand and a bug he gently blows off his finger. However, he hears a voice say, “You’re not invited,” as it pans over to a woman (Sea Shimooka) slicing him with her sword.
Follow this sci-fi journey with 3 Body Problem premiering March 21, 2024 on Netflix.

Riverdale Meets 1960s India
The popular teen show Riverdale may have ended, but there’s a new story in town. The Archies is set in 1960s India and focuses on Archie and the gang as they navigate romance, friendships, and the future of their town.
Things take a turn when Veronica’s dad, a businessman, plans to build a hotel on the Green Park property — essentially destroying the childhood memories of Riverdale. Not only that, but this is a musical comedy! The trailer showcases clips of musical numbers and elaborate dance scenes featured in the new adaptation.
The Archies will premiere December 7 on Netflix.
Connor Reed And Garrett Kelton Are Back
Following the events of the first Code 8 film, electrokinetic Connor Reed (Robbie Amell) works as a janitor at a community center and has cut ties with his former criminal associate telekinetic Garrett Kelton (Stephen Amell). When he has to help 14-year-old Pav (Sirena Gulamguas) escape corrupt officers, he must enlist Garrett’s help.
The teaser shows a very tense exchange between Garrett and Connor amid glitchy, sci-fi visuals as they agree to do big things together once again. In a world where only four percent of the population are born with supernatural powers, they often face discrimination and poverty that results in committing crimes.
Director Jeff Chan stated “the film is meant to explore the strange and frightening future we’re barreling towards,” as difficult questions arise regarding the use of AI technology and robotics.
Code 8: Part II hits Netflix in 2024.
