Here’s All The Parallels Between XO, Kitty Season 2 and To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before
Bow down to Jenny Han for giving us a beloved trilogy and highly talked about spin-off series with To All The Boys and XO, Kitty. Here’s every parallel from the original series that you can catch in XO, Kitty season two!
Hot Tub Scene
In To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo) and Lara Jean Covey (Lana Condor) have a steamy hot tub scene that everyone went wild for. Not as steamy, Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee) and Kitty (Anna Cathcart) share a moment in the hot tub in episode four. An ode to a place where romance is definitely in the air.
Ski Trip
Speaking of the hot tub scene, how could we forget the drama that ensued during the school’s ski trip that basically caused a rift between Lara Jean and Peter. In season two, Min Ho invites everyone to his father’s cabin on a ski trip and let’s just say… There's a fair amount of drama as well.
Face Paint
In To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You, Peter’s lacrosse team is off to a game and Lara Jean dresses up to show her support — sporting some face paint with Peter’s initials and jersey number. We get a similar moment with Kitty lathering on some face paint to help Dae (Minyeong Choi) win the singing competition after Stella (Audrey Huynh) sabotages his backup dancers. Covey girls are always supportive!
Love Letter
We were introduced to the love letter queen Lara Jean years ago and, although chaotic, it brought her to her dream guy. So it wouldn’t come as a surprise when Lara Jean suggests Kitty write a letter to Yuri (Gia Kim) as a symbol to move past her crush. But as you can imagine, things quickly go awry when her letter gets stolen.
Peter Kavinsky
To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before gave us a new romantic fixation when Peter was deemed the Internet’s dream boyfriend. Still as supportive as ever, Peter stops by KISS to comfort Kitty since his lacrosse team is traveling around Asia. He also reveals that he and Lara Jean are still going strong!
Fainting On Track
When Peter finds out about Lara Jean’s letter (thanks to Kitty!) and confronts her about it, she pretends to faint on the school’s track during P.E. Likewise, Q (Anthony Keyvan) is running late to his track meet so Kitty decides to cause a distraction on the track by fainting. If you compare the clips side-by-side, the sisters can even be spotted landing with their pony tails and legs in the exact same position.
Margot
We first meet Margot (Janel Parrish) in the original film where she jets off for college in Scotland. Though not depicted much, she’s the big sister Lara Jean needs during her crazy high school days. When Kitty finally reunites her grandma with her sister, she enlists Margot to convince their grandma to come to Korea. It’s a cutesy Covey sister reunion that will warm your heart.
