Global Superstar Anitta Makes Her Grand Entrance at Las Encinas In Elite Season 7

tv

Netflix launched the long awaited first look at Elite season 7, promising that the Spanish drama will “be even more tumultuous than ever before.” The wait is almost over — and they’re adding an exciting new character!

Anitta has been a star in her home country of Brazil for years, but she took her success to a global level in the past few years. She was nominated for Best New Artist at the 2023 Grammys, performed at the MTV Video Music Awards (and killed it!), partnered with Burger King and Lays, and was featured in Jack Harlow’s “First Class” music video. If that wasn’t impressive enough, she was the first Brazilian and Latin American artist to reach number one on Spotify’s global chart with a solo song and the first Brazilian to win both an MTV VMA and an American Music Award. Now, she can add Netflix Spain’s longest-running fictional series Elite to her resume. Yes, you read that correctly! Anitta is joining the cast of Elite season 7, making her debut at Las Encinas.

Anitta plays a self defense teacher who is new to the fictitious Las Encinas school. With the recent announcement that Elite has been renewed for season 8, it will be interesting to see where the series takes her character — but right now the role she plays is still largely a mystery.

Catch Elite season 7 premiering on October 20 on Netflix.
