Magic and mystery await at Alfea.

But now we don’t have to wait any longer to head back to the magical world, as a premiere date has been announced by Netflix for Fate: The Winx Saga season 2.

“Season two, I feel like it's just a whirlwind of emotion and adventure. We have new villains. We have new additions to the school. We have Flora, who is Terra's cousin,” shared Abigail Cowen, who played Bloom, in the announcement video.

Paulina Chávez, who joins the cast as Latina earth fairy Flora, adds: “I'm excited for fans to see her magic.”

“We've got new monsters, we've got new threats, we've got the Blood Witches coming in, we've got the Scrapers, people are being possessed,” said Eliot Salt, with Hannah van der Westhuysen teasing: “You can expect epic fights, lots of steamy romance.”

Showrunner Brian Young also gives more insight into the themes of the upcoming season. “In season one, the big question was, ‘Who am I?’ In season two, the big question is, ‘What am I going to be when I grow up?’” he shared.

New cast members joining the show include Chávez as Flora, Brandon Grace as Grey, Éanna Hardwicke as Sebastian, Miranda Richardson as Headmistress Rosalind, and Daniel Betts as Professor Harvey.

Fate: The Winx Saga returns to Netflix on September 16.
