Being A Mafia Boss’ Daughter Causes Trouble Within The Family In Fresh Kills Trailer

If you’re a fan of The Sopranos or Goodfellas, writer, actress and director Jennifer Esposito brings to life the new film Fresh Kills. Set in Staten Island in the 80s, we follow the life of the Larusso family with their father (Domenick Lombardozzi) as the head mafia kingpin. Ties are tested when Rose (Emily Bader) finds out who her father really is.

“Everything I do is for the betterment of my girls,” says Lombardozzi’s character at the beginning of the trailer. When Rose finds out her fathers true colors, she begins to question everything about her life. Family fights break out, questions aren’t meant to be answered, and things look “fair” but aren’t.

Rose continues to yearn for a life free of mafia chaos especially with a more serious relationship on the rise. However, her desired path may just cost her to become alienated from her mother Francine (Esposito), her sister Connie (Odessa A’zion), and her aunt Christine (Annabella Sciorra). Nicholas Cirillo and David Iacono make up the ensemble cast.

Fresh Kills premieres June 14 in theaters.
