Annaleigh Ashford Goes Head To Head With Serial Killer Father In Happy Face Trailer

tv

Inspired by Happy Face podcast creator Melissa G. Moore and her autobiography Shattered Silence, the new original series Happy Face tells Moore’s story about her serial killer father and her journey to grapple with her identity.

Years after her father (Dennis Quaid), aka The Happy Face killer, was incarcerated, Moore (Annaleigh Ashford) has made a life for herself with a brilliant podcast and a family of her own. The trailer shows Moore being informed that her father is trying to reach her about a victim he left out.

As time runs out, Moore has to figure out if an innocent man will be put to death over a crime her father committed. From visiting him in jail to struggling to tell her family the truth about him, she sets on a grueling emotional journey as she questions her identity and seeks justice.

James Wolk, Tamera Tomakili, Khiyla Aynne, and Benjamin Mackey round out the series cast.

Happy Face premieres March 20 on Paramount+.
