Andra Day Faces Demons in Netflix’s The Deliverance Trailer

Netflix released the trailer for their new horror-thriller film The Deliverance — and it's bone chilling to say the least.

The film stars Andra Day as single mother Ebony who is struggling to make ends meet. When she moves her and her children into a new home for a fresh start, she finds herself a target for demonic activity and strange possessions. Now Ebony must save the souls of her children in order for them to all make it out alive.

Directed and produced by Lee Daniels, the film is based on a true story, which somehow makes it more horrifying! The trailer gives us a glimpse into the possessions and exorcisms we will see in the film. Joining Day to tell the story is Glenn Close, Mo’Nique, Anthony B. Jenkins, Miss Lawrence, Demi Singleton, Tasha Smith, Omar Epps, Caleb McLaughlin, and Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor.

See Day deliver a scary good performance in The Deliverance in select theaters on August 16 and on Netflix on August 30.
