NEON’s Cryptic Teaser Has The Internet Theorizing About Mystery Horror Movie

This past weekend Neon dropped a cryptic teaser titled “Every year there is another” on a mystery movie that had everyone speculating what film it could be for.

The short teaser shows an old family photograph with a 9-1-1 call voiceover of a panicked man saying, “It’s my daughter.” As the operator asks if he can stay on the line, he then says, “That’s not my daughter.” Then, the clip shows a pair of very long legs with a mystery third arm coming out. To top it all off, the teaser ends with a code at the end that fans have been trying to crack.

Theories on what the film could be include They Follow starring Maika Monroe, Cuckoo starring Hunter Schafer, Daniella Stevens, and Jessica Henwick, the catholic horror film Immaculate starring Sydney Sweeney, or even Oz Perkins’ Longlegs starring Nicolas Cage and Monroe.

There’s no confirmation yet, but some fans consider have thought the code message could relate to Longlegs since it’s eight characters long and the repeated symbols correlate to the repeated letters. Nonetheless, fans are excited and the teaser is a cool way to get people talking!
