Can You Survive Squid Game: The Experience? Here’s How You Can Compete To Win!
Think you’ve got what it takes to survive Squid Game? Now’s your chance.
Based on Netflix’s global phenomenon, Squid Game: The Experience is taking over New York City! Outsmart Young-hee in Red Light, Green Light, test your memory skills on the Glass Bridge, and more in five intense challenges inspired by the series. This is the latest collaboration between Netflix and Fever who transported us into immersive experiences in shows like Stranger Things and Bridgerton. Pop Culture Planet’s Kristen Maldonado attended the VIP press preview ahead of launch day to share why you can’t miss this event.
Fans begin in the neon Night Market where you can treat yourself to Korean snacks and soju-infused cocktails, or even play Ddakji with a mysterious salesperson. There are plenty of photo opps to take advantage of, including the piggy bank or a giant Young-hee. Shop the massive amounts of Squid Game merchandise at Squid Mart, play arcade games, and take a peek at the competition with help from the hidden camera screens inside the elusive VIP Lounge.
When you’ve built up the courage to jump into the competition, grab your numbered bracelet and step into the action. In the hour long experience, you’ll participate in five interactive games — both individual and as a group. For anyone who may have checked out The Trials in LA, there are two brand new games that are unique to the New York experience.
First up is Memory Steps, which is a take on the Glass Bridge that requires focus and memorization. Next is Marbles, pulling inspiration from two Squid Game classics. Participants tap into a fan favorite from Squid Game: The Challenge with Warships, followed by the iconic Red Light, Green Light with a laser focused Young-hee. In the final game, the leaders of the competition come face-to-face with the Front Man himself. No spoilers here, but let’s say it’s a dinner you’ll never forget.
Squid Game: The Experience is now open at the Manhattan Mall in New York City, just an easy five minute walk from Penn Station. While tickets are required to go through the game experience, anyone can walk in to check out the Night Market. Grab your tickets beginning at $29 before it’s game over!
