Winner, winner, fried chicken dinner — Hallmark Channel has officially renewed The Chicken Sisters for a second season!

That’s right, more family drama, humor, and romance are on the menu with the star-studded cast of Lea Thompson, Schuyler Fisk, Wendie Malick, and Genevieve Angelson. The second season will find the women finally putting their generations-long feud to rest as they open The Chicken Sisters restaurant, realizing family is worth fighting for. Meanwhile, Frank Jr. opens a Mr. Chicken’s Cluckery franchise on Merinac’s Main Street and it’ll all lead up to Mae and Jay’s Merinac wedding.

Season one writer Erin Gibson has been upgraded to the role of showrunner and executive producer, while Trumbo and JAG star David James Elliott joins the cast in a recurring role as someone from Gus’ past. 

Season 2 will premiere later this year on Hallmark Channel, streaming the next day on Hallmark+.
