HBO Max has announced that their Sex and the City continuation series And Just Like That has officially been renewed for a second season. After following this group of tight knit friends through the ups and downs of their 30s, this new chapter finds Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) navigating the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s.

Nearly 25 years after Sex and the City debuted and 12 years after the final film in the franchise, the series delivered the strongest debut of any Max Original series to date. “I am delighted and excited to tell more stories about these vibrant, bold characters — played by these powerful, amazing actors. The fact is, we’re all thrilled. And Just like That… our Sex life is back,” said executive producer Michael Patrick King about the renewal; meanwhile, Sarah Aubrey, the Head of Original Content at HBO Max, shared: “We have been delighted by the cultural conversation generated by these characters and their stories, set in a world we already know and love so much.”

You can watch the entire Sex and the City franchise — including And Just Like That — on HBO Max. Watch our review of season 1, below:
