Ted Lasso Fans Rejoice, There’s A Cast Reunion in Hannah Waddingham: Home For Christmas!

Ted Lasso star Hannah Waddingham made a joyous return to her musical theater roots in her new Apple TV+ special Hannah Waddinghan: Home For Christmas. Filmed at the London Coliseum, Hannah kicks off the show welcoming the crowd and giving a shoutout to her 8-year-old daughter.

The musical special is accompanied by multiple outfit changes, a gorgeous holiday set, backup dancers, celebrity cameos, and a true homage to Ted Lasso fans. The special guest stars include Nick Mohammed, Leslie Odom Jr., Sam Ryder, Luke Evans, Brendan Hunt, James Lance, Kola Bokinni, Billy Harris, Phil Dunster, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, and even Jason Sudeikis.

The soundtrack includes classic favorites with a new spin. Waddingham shows off her booming vocals with “What Christmas Means to Me” and “The Man With The Bag.” Then Leslie Odon Jr. joins in on the fun with a duet of “Please Come Home For Christmas” that you will immediately want to add to your holiday playlist. The ENO Chorus beautifully accompanies Waddingham’s performance of “O Holy Night,” Sam Ryder comes rocking in for a duet of “Run Rudolph Run.” Ted Lasso fan favorite Phil Dunster accompanies The Fabulous Lounge Swingers in a lovely group performance of “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.” Then Luke Evans hits the stage to help Waddingham with “Winter Wonderland.” Lastly, The London Gay Mens Chorus joins Waddingham in performing “It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.”

Between the captivating musical performances, there are comedic bits that keep things light and fun while bringing in even more guests. This special truly is a musical extravaganza and celebration of the holiday season. For Ted Lasso fans, it is the reunion we all hoped for.
