Based on the best-selling novels, The Spiderwick Chronicles series just dropped its official trailer of all things magical!
The Grace family heads from Brooklyn, New York to their ancestral home in Henson, Michigan known as the Spiderwick Estate. Helen (Joy Bryant) believes a fresh start will do her family — including 15-year-old fraternal twins Jared (Lyon Daniels) and Simon (Noah Cottrell) and eldest daughter Mallory (Mychala Lee) — some good. Jared, in particular, has been going through a rough time. To his curiosity, he explores the Spiderwick Estate in all its mystic, greenery and uncovers the magical creatures within.
As his great-aunt Lucinda talks about her father cataloging every creature of the invisible world, Jared holds a jar with a fluttering fairy creature inside before dropping it in shock. From there, we’re introduced to the murderous Ogre Mulgarath (Christian Slater) who has a plan to come after the Grace family. Lucinda tells Jared to find her father’s pages and put the guide back together. Unicorns, fairies, small furry creatures, a glowing sword, and more magical moments await. Jack Dylan Grazer, Alyvia Alyn Lind, and Charlayne Woodard round out the cast.
