The First Trailer For How I Met Your Father Starring Hilary Duff Has Arrived — With A Twist
If we’re not getting a Lizzie McGuire spin-off, this is the next best thing!
We’ve got the first trailer for How I Met Your Father, the new Hilary Duff-led How I Met Your Mother spin-off. Set in the near future, Sophie tells her son the story of how she met his father, taking us back to the year of 2021. We follow Sophie, played by Duff, and her friends as they figure out who they are, what they want, and deal with the struggles of dating and finding love in the age of apps.
In a departure from the original series, where Bob Saget never appeared on-screen as Future Ted Mosby and was only heard in voiceovers, this new trailer gives us a look at Future Sophie, played by Kim Cattrall.
In addition to Duff and Cattrell, the 10-episode first season also stars Christopher Lowell, Francia Raisa, Tom Ainsley, Tien Tran, and Suraj Sharma, as well as Daniel Augustin, Ashley Reyes, and Josh Peck in recurring roles.
From just the trailer alone, I can’t help but root for Hilary Duff and Josh Peck… how cute does that first date look?! How I Met Your Father premieres on Hulu on January 18, 2022.
