The Traitors Episode 10 Changes The Game As We Know It
This episode will go down in history as one of the most tense episodes of The Traitors ever. I don’t think I’ll ever recover from that roundtable — and don’t even get me started on the diabolical cliffhanger the episode ended on. How am I supposed to get through the next week without any answers? Let’s break down this wild episode of The Traitors.
After the controversial banishment of Carolyn Wiger, Danielle Reyes is now the final Traitor standing. Alan Cumming presented Danielle with a choice, albeit a very easy choice in her opinion. She could recruit a Faithful to join her as a Traitor. However, if the Faithful declined the offer, they had to be murdered right then. Danielle decided to recruit her Big Brother ally Britney Haynes, and honestly, this seems like a terrible move by Danielle. Britney is cutthroat in competition shows and she’s stabbed Danielle in the back on Big Brother before. Who’s to say history doesn’t repeat itself?
Nevertheless, Britney accepts Danielle’s invitation to join the dark side. The two women contemplate who to murder and, sadly, this was the end of the road for Tom Sandoval. Was the man super egotistical and a chaotic Faithful? Absolutely. Did I love every second of it? Absolutely. Tom accepted his fate the only way he knew how — by showering himself with endless praise. Alan’s final jab at Tom was hilarious and will definitely be quoted for years to come.
The final contestants are Danielle, Britney, Dolores Catania, Ivar Mountbatten, Dylan Efron, and Gabby Windey. At this point, I am praying to the NBC gods that Gabby or Dylan take home the money. The two are so close to cracking the case, especially Gabby who is fully convinced that Danielle is a Traitor. Poor Dylan struggles to come to terms with this in this episode, but he finally realizes that one of his strongest allies in the castle might have been playing him this entire time.
The challenge brings the group on a tour of some of their most terrifying previous missions. The creepy clowns return for an impossible memorization game. The team must correctly remember what clowns have money to add to the prize pool. Whoever secures the most money will win the power of the Seer. This power would let one person in the castle confront whoever they believe is a Traitor. This new challenge has the potential to change the entire course of the game.
As the challenge persists, the gang is forced to revisit the terrifying singing dolls once more. The dolls each have a certain amount of money programmed in their music box. The players must decide how many times they want to pull on the doll’s string to secure more money. However, if you try your luck too many times, you’ll lose all your winnings. This round was super beneficial for Danielle, who is ironically one of the only people who shouldn’t receive the Seer power. What good is it in the hands of a Traitor?
The final round of the challenge makes the contestants dig through bags of animal feces to find the rest of the prize winnings. This was a disgusting feat for every player, but they had no choice but to dig for the money. Alan decided to make the players wait until the end of the roundtable to find out who won the Seer power. The anticipation is killing me.
This was the most intense roundtable I’ve ever watched. Gabby went full Elle Woods on Danielle and I loved every second of it. Gabby proved she’s so much more than the ditzy persona Danielle tried to force upon her. She was so convincing that even Dylan decided to vote against Danielle. In a random turn of events, Ivar recieved votes from Dolores, Danielle, and Britney. While Britney and Danielle’s reasoning is pretty obvious as a viewer, Dolores choosing Ivar came out of nowhere.
The votes for banishment ended in a tie between Ivar and Danielle. They both had one final moment to plead their cases, which Danielle used as a final Hail Mary to regain Dylan’s trust. Thankfully, Dylan stood by his original vote, as did Gabby and Dolores. It seemed like Britney was terrified to reveal her vote, which makes me believe she decided to vote for Danielle. That would be the ultimate betrayal to her fellow Traitor, but it’s every player for themselves in this game. The episode tragically ended before Britney’s vote was revealed. We also have no idea who won the power of the Seer. The finale of season three will for sure leave audiences speechless, and I am counting down the seconds until next Thursday.
The Traitors is streaming on Peacock now.
