The Trailer For Horizon: An American Saga Takes Us Through Life In The Old West

The trailer for the first part of Kevin Costner's ambitious four-part Civil War Western saga was released today, heralding its entry into theaters in two parts this summer on June 28 and August 16.

Costner will not only be starring Horizon: An American Saga, but directing the film, marking his return to the director's chair since Open Range in 2003. He will be joined by an exceptional cast featuring Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, Jena Malone, Owen Crow Shoe, Tatanka Means, Ella Hunt, Tim Guinee, Danny Huston, Colin Cunningham, Scott Haze, and more.

The story transports us to the Old West during the Civil War from 1861 to 1865. It aims to tug at our heartstrings as we follow the intertwined narratives of families, friends, and foes, all grappling with their identities as American citizens. The trailer gives us a glimpse into the beautiful landscape of Utah while also depicting the struggle for survival as cavalry soldiers and Indigenous people fight for control of the land. There is no mercy as one character grimly states, "What you build, they will burn down.” Despite the heavy themes of war and loss, there are moments of passion, connection, and resilience that shine through.

Horizon: An American Saga begins its journey with the first chapter on June 28 promising audiences a captivating exploration of courage and sacrifice.
