Team Sonic Faces Their Biggest Challenge In Sonic The Hedgehog 3 Trailer

Welcome back to Green Hills! Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails are about to face their biggest threat yet in the upcoming Sonic The Hedgehog 3.

The trailer shows the trio reuniting after new villain Shadow (Keanu Reeves) manages to break out of containment. Sheriff Wachowski (James Marsden) explains to Sonic that while he was able to find family, Shadow only found pain and suffering in the world.

Able to teleport and create massive fireballs, Shadow comes face-to-face with Team Sonic as he twists Knuckles’ (Idris Elba) hand, kicks Tails (Colleen O’Shaughnessey), and slams Sonic (Ben Schwartz) to the ground. Too powerful for them, the trio recruits unlikely ally Dr. Eggman (Jim Carrey) to help save the world. We also get a glimpse at a reunion with Eggman and his grandfather Professor Gerald Robotnik!

Tika Sumpter, Krysten Ritter, Lee Majdoub, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, Shemar Moore, Alyla Browne, and James Wolk round out the cast.

Sonic The Hedgehog 3 premieres December 20 in theaters.
