Charlie Day Is Set To Star In The New Dark Comedy Kill Me
From It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia to Kill Me, Charlie Day is back to star in a new whodunnit mystery.
Directed by Peter Warren, the movie finds Jimmy waking up in a bathtub after trying to kill himself. At least, that’s what it looks like from his family and friends point of view. Jimmy is confused, but is sure he didn’t do it… almost. With the help of Margot, the 911 operator who took his call, he embarks on a mission to find out if he really did it or if someone tried to kill him.
“When we first read Peter Warren’s script, we were impressed with his honest portrayal of depression and mental health, while still delivering a great mystery with plenty of humor. Charlie Day, with his skill at balancing the fragility of the human experience with incredible comedic energy, is the perfect person to anchor this ‘two-hander,’” said Dark Horse Entertainment’s Mike Richardson. “We couldn’t be more excited about working on this film with our friends at XYZ.”
No release date has been set yet for Kill Me.
