Stephanie Hsu Becomes A Deadly Ex-Girlfriend In Laid Trailer
Move over Ghost of Girlfriends Past, the new twisted rom-com series Laid is flipping the script!
The trailer shows 33-year-old Ruby (Stephanie Hsu) as she recalls her tragically sad romantic history. When she meets a new client at her job, she receives a text from her bestie AJ (Zosia Mamet) that their college friend Brandon passed away. Comically replying “who?,” this is just the beginning of Ruby’s exes turning up dead.
From baseball mishaps to heart attacks, Ruby and her bestie travel down the line of exes throughout her life to try to warn them about their near death. The mission only gets more complicated when she starts developing a crush on someone new. Can she save them all in order to move forward?
Michael Angarano, Tommy Martinez, Andre Hyland, Alexandra Shipp, David Denman, John Early, Simu Liu, Kate Berlant, Finneas O’Connell, Olivia Holt, Chloe Fineman, and Ettore “Big E” Ewen round out the cast.
The eight-episode comedy series premieres December 19 on Peacock.
