Joe Keery and Camila Morrone Lead Bonnie and Clyde-Style Romance In Marmalade Trailer
Keir O'Donnell, who has donned hilarious and memorable roles such as Todd Cleary in Wedding Crashers and the villainous Veck in Paul Blart: Mall Cop, is adding a new role to his resume and making his directorial debut with Marmalade.
The edge-of-your-seat crime-tinged romance tale follows recently incarcerated Baron (Joe Keery) who strikes up a friendship with cellmate Otis (Aldis Hodge), a man with a well-versed history of prison breaks. As the pair hatch an escape plan together, Baron recalls the story of how he met Marmalade (Camila Morrone), the love of his life, and their Bonnie and Clyde-esque scheme to rob a bank in order to care for his sick mother and give the couple the life they’ve always dreamed of.
Marmalade was not only directed by O’Donnell, but written by the American Sniper alum. This is a film full of firsts, with O’Donnell trying his hand at directing and Keery lending his talents to a new role audiences haven’t seen him in just yet.
The romance thriller is set to arrive in theaters and On Demand on February 9.
