You go, Glen Coco!

The Mean Girls musical adaptation based off the Broadway musical of the hit 2004 film has announced the casting of four crucial roles.

Angourie Rice takes on the role of Cady Heron, originally played by Lindsay Lohan. Rice is best known for starring in films like Every Day, the new Spider-Man trilogy, Senior Year, and Honor Society.

Reneé Rapp, who made her Broadway debut as Regina George in Mean Girls, returns to the role on film. She currently stars in HBO Max’s The Sex Lives of College Girls, which is in its second season, and dropped her first solo EP Everything To Everyone.

Auli’i Cravalho, best known for voicing the titular role in DIsney’s Moana, joins the cast as Janis Ian. She also starred in All Together Now, Crush, and most recently as mean girl Capri in Darby and the Dead.

Jaquel Spivey, who made his professional debut as Usher in Broadway’s A Strange Loop, takes on the role of Damian Leigh. This will be his first feature film.

The Paramount+ movie musical is being directed by Arturo Perez and Samantha Jayne and produced by Lorne Michaels and Tina Fey, with Fey writing the adaptation.
