Al Pacino and Dan Stevens Star in The Ritual from XYZ Films

XYZ Films has officially cast the iconic Al Pacino and Dan Stevens to star in their exorcism horror film The Ritual from director David Midell. Set to release in 2025, The Ritual is based on a true story of two priests. One is questioning his faith and one is reckoning with a troubled past. They must put aside their differences to save a possessed young woman through a series of exorcisms. I know what you’re thinking — true story? You read it right, the film will be an authentic portrayal of Emma Schmidt, a woman whose demonic possession culminated in harrowing exorcisms. Her case remains the most thoroughly documented exorcism in American history.


Netflix Picks Up Calabasas Series From Kim Kardashian

An American Horror Story: Delicate reunion already? Except this time Kim Kardashian and Emma Roberts will be behind the scenes as Netflix has acquired the series Calabasas from executive producers Kardashian, Roberts and Pretty Little Liars creator I. Marlene King. King is set to write this upcoming book adaptation series, based on Via Bleidner’s If You Lived Here You’d Be Famous by Now. The series will follow a 16 year old sheltered Catholic school girl who’s thrown into unfamiliar territory when she transfers to a public high school in Calabasas.


Bella Ramsey, Louis Partridge, and Ruby Stokes Cast in Sunny Dancer

Bella Ramsey, Louis Partridge, and Ruby Stokes are set to lead the newly anticipated coming-of-age comedy Sunny Dancer from director George Jaques. Ramsey will star as Ivy, a teenager in remission from cancer, whose parents insist she attend a summer retreat for young adults affected by cancer. Of course, Ivy is apprehensive, but that fades away as she finds new friends.


28 Years Later Adds Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Comer, and Ralph Fiennes To Star-Studded Cast

As if 28 Years Later wasn’t already highly anticipated enough, it was announced that we can expect to see Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Comer, and Ralph Fiennes tackle the film. It’s very popular predecessor has had a resurgence, thanks to the one and only Cillian Murphy, making this film all the more anticipated by old fans, and now, new ones.


Nick Jonas’ Film The Good Half Sets Theatrical Release

Following rave reviews at Tribeca Film Festival, Nick Jonas’ new film The Good Half is scheduled to be released in the United States on July 23, 2024. Jonas stars as Renn, an emotionally distant writer who returns to his hometown of Cleveland for his mom’s funeral, after having spent years successfully avoiding interactions with the rest of his family. While in town, he forges a new relationship with a charming stranger who pushes him to realize that he can’t avoid conflict forever — with his family or within himself.
