First up, we have Lionsgate, along with Universal Pictures, announcing on January 30 that Nia Long will portray Katherine Jackson, the matriarch of the Jackson family, in the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic Michael. The film is currently in production with the release now being slated for April 18, 2025.
Brooke Shields and Miranda Cosgrove To Star In Netflix Movie
Everyone’s favorite iCarly alum, Miranda Cosgrove will star in Netflix’s upcoming Mother of the Bride opposite the fabulous Brooke Shields. The best part? It’s a rom-com starring none other than the rom-com legend, Chad Michael Murray. Also, it’s directed by Mark Waters — who made 2004's Mean Girls and 2021's He's All That — so it’s safe to say this movie will be amazing. The movie’s release date is May 9.
Cameron Diaz Comes Out of Retirement For New Action Comedy
Cameron Diaz couldn’t stay in retirement too long! The prominent actress announced her retirement from acting in 2018, but she is coming back to screens in Netflix’s upcoming action comedy Back in Action. Diaz will star alongside Jamie Foxx as a married couple who once lived as CIA spies before settling down and starting a family. That is until their cover is blown, forcing them back into the world of espionage. This will be Diaz’s first movie since 2014’s Annie.
Lindsay Lohan Stars In Netflix’s Irish Wish
Lindsay Lohan is having a comeback — and I’m here for it! I can’t help but feel a twinge of nostalgia whenever I see the talented actress, so this news was exciting to say the least. Netflix released a photo this past week of Lohan in their upcoming film Irish Wish, which will be available to stream starting March 15, just in time for St. Patty’s Day!
Max Announces Priscilla Streaming Date
For all of us who couldn’t make it to the theaters to see the esteemed Priscilla (me!), now is your chance to watch the romance in the comfort of your own home. Max announced that the film will be available to stream on their platform starting February 23.

Warner Bros. announced that Beetlejuice 2 will be released in theaters on September 6, 2024 with a glimpse of the highly anticipated film’s first poster. The official title for the film is fittingly Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. Don’t say it a third time though!
