Paul Mescal and Andrew Scott Find Haunting Romance In All Of Us Strangers Trailer
All of us hurt, all of us hope, all of us love…
That’s the message in the trailer for Spotlight Pictures upcoming gay romance All of Us Strangers. Starring the likes of Paul Mescal, Andrew Scott, Claire Foy, and Jamie Bell, All of Us Strangers tells a story filled of love and ghosts of our past. The film, directed by Andrew Haigh, is an adaptation of Taichi Yamada’s 1987 Japanese novel Strangers.
Set in London, two neighbors Adam (Scott) and Harry (Mescal) find themselves in a mysteriously loving affair. As their relationship continues to grow, Adam is troubled with memories from his past. He travels back to his childhood home only to seemingly see his parents living in the same state they were in before they died 30 years prior.
Fans can expect their heart strings to be pulled on as, even in the trailer, we can see the intimate dynamic between the two lovers and Adam’s past. “I’ve always felt like a stranger in my own family,” says Harry.
“It’s funny,” Adam replies. “It doesn’t take much to make you feel the way you felt.”
All of Us Strangers releases December 22 in theaters.
