Netflix Announces Squid Game Season 2 Premiere Date

After nearly three years, the deadly games are back in Squid Game!

Netflix announced the show would return for second season this December. Season two takes place three years after Player 456 wins the game and remains determined to end this vicious sport once and for all. Trying to learn who is behind these wicked tricks, he discovers the only way to learn more about the game is to re-enter it. This time, the organization and their events prove to be deadlier than ever before.

Director and writer Hwang Dong-hyuk, who is behind the global phenomenon, shared a heartfelt letter to the fans of Squid Game and even revealed that a third and final season is coming in 2025.

Set to reprise their roles from season one are Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-jun, Lee Jin-uk, and Gong Yoo. New additions to the cast for season two include Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, Choi Seung-hyun, Roh Jae-won, Jo Yu-ri, and Won Ji-an.

Get ready to head back into the arena when Squid Game season 2 hits Netflix on December 26.
