Milo Manheim and Meg Donnelly Redo Senior Year In Zombies: The Re-Animated Series

tv

Attention Seabrook — we’re back again in the Zombies universe and better than ever! Disney released the first movie of their hit franchise Zombies back in 2018. Since then, they’ve expanded into multiple films, animated shorts, and now their newest release Zombies: The Re-Animated Series.

Zombies: The Re-Animated Series finds Zed (Milo Manheim) and Addison (Meg Donnelly), along with the rest of their friends, repeating their senior year all over again — in animated form! While it won’t be easy, as long as the gang works together, they can survive anything life throws at them. The show features brand new music, hilarious moments, and the return of characters I really missed.

With our favorite characters back together again, it was exciting to see them in this brand new way. Even though I was weary of the animation style at first, the show proved itself in the first four episodes available for press to watch. Each episode stands on its own and acts as an individual story. From transforming the whole school into “zoda”-obsessed zombies to a vending machine battle, Zed and Addison are constantly working together to help their friends as they find themselves in wackier situations.

Zombies features an inclusive cast filled with many talented people, so I really liked seeing the cast’s personalities come to life through in their voice acting. They truly feel like a family, and that translated well in the style of this new series. While the series doesn’t impact the plot of the original films, it does takes us on some fun side adventures that I really enjoyed!

While we can’t wait for Zombies 4 to hit our screens in 2025, we have Zombies: The Re-Animated Series to hold us over! The series premieres June 28 on Disney Channel and will be available to stream the next day on Disney+.
