Jenna Ortega and Paul Rudd Star As Daughter And Father In Death Of A Unicorn Trailer

Jenna Ortega and Paul Rudd are teaming up as daughter and father in A24’s upcoming film Death Of A Unicorn. The film follows Elliot and Ridley who are en route to a weekend retreat when they run over a unicorn. Yes, you read that right — a unicorn.

The film is written and directed by Alex Scharfman and features a star-studded cast that must grapple with the magical creature that’s fallen into their laps. Richard E. Grant plays Rudd’s billionaire pharmaceutical boss who seeks to exploit the unicorn for its curative powers. Will Poulter, Téa Leoni, Anthony Carrigan, Sunita Mani, and Steve Park join the cast as other team members on the corporate retreat. Poulter offers tons of comedic relief in the trailer.

Ortega’s Ridley is desperate to save the unicorn, while Rudd’s Elliot is stuck in the middle between his daughter’s beliefs and his boss’s greed. The trailer takes a dark turn when we learn that this isn’t the typical unicorn audiences are used to.
