Hulu Celebrates 30 Years Of The Leprechaun Horror Franchise

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the iconic comedy-horror film franchise Leprechaun, which first made its mark in theaters in January of 1993. The first of the installment, directed by Mark Jones, had a simple, but exceedingly entertaining plot: a leprechaun seeks vengeance when someone steals his gold coins. The ending of the first movie laid the foundation for other directors to have their fun with the quintessential horror character, making a full blown franchise.

Now, to celebrate the anniversary (and spooky season, of course!) Hulu will be releasing all eight films in the Leprechaun film franchise starting October 1. Yup, that includes Leprechaun, Leprechaun 2, Leprechaun 3, Leprechaun 4: In Space, Leprechaun in the Hood, Leprechaun: Back 2 the Hood, Leprechaun: Origins, and Leprechaun: Returns. And with rumors swirling of a ninth movie in the works, it looks like we haven’t reached the pot of gold just yet!
